“Come to Vital Voices and you’ll discover 1,000 times more power, more happiness, more strength, more knowledge,” said Oana Bizgan, a 2019 Vital Voices fellow from the VV Engage program. “Be part of this, its going to make you stronger, its going make you better and its going to make the world a greater place.”
Leading the discussion were Vital Voices Leadership & Social Impact team members Zoe Dean-Smith, Manira Alva, Eugenia Podestá with three women leaders who shared about their past experiences participating in Vital Voices programs: Naana Akyaa Asante, Chelsea Brown Pelech, and Bizgan (quoted above).
“Apply for it. Once you get in there don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and to reach out,” said Brown Pelech, an alumna of the 2023 VV Grow program. “Everyone is there to support you, they believe in their mission and you become a part of that, even after the program. It’s been almost two years now, you still feel like people are supporting and rooting for you. Once your program is over, its just the beginning,” she said.
