Voices of Resilience: A Conversation with Jennifer Mandelblatt
Jennifer Mandelblatt is a Vital Voices Leadership Incubator Fellow and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Platform, an organization that assists young women-identified folx have valuable conversations with their elected lawmakers. Jennifer facilitates Platform’s leadership team, works to grow Platform’s expansion and fosters a national community of young leaders with the goal of shaping a government that represents everyone.
Jennifer joined us for a Voices of Resilience Episode to chat with Vital Voices President and CEO Alyse Nelson and discuss the power of creating inclusive change after crises end.
During their conversation, Alyse and Jennifer talk about something that affects so many people: the service industry no longer having a reliable income, and what others can do to provide support for these workers. Jennifer encouraged listeners to donate where and when they can to organizations that support their employees that can no longer work. Jennifer also strong emphasizes the importance of calling Senators and Representatives to voice concerns and opinions on legislation regarding the pandemic, as everyone has the right to do so!
