This Friday, August 12, at 1 p.m. ET, Vital Voices will be hosting an hour-long chat via Twitter on human trafficking.
For those who have never participated before, a Tweetchat is an online chat conducted via Twitter, centered around a hashtag. Our hashtag is #VVLead, and you may use it whenever you’d like to discuss women or leadership on Twitter.
After the success of our very-first Tweetchat two weeks ago on women in leadership, we would like you to join us to discuss human trafficking and its consequences. This week’s chat is in honor of The Whistleblower, a movie released this and last week across the U.S. (find the location nearest you here). The feature film, starring Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz, is a drama inspired by the experiences of a U.N. peacekeeper who exposed human trafficking and corruption in post-war Bosnia.
To participate in the chat and ask your own questions, use your Twitter account to log in to Tweetchat here. if you do not have a Twitter account, you can create one.
Have some ideas for future Tweetchats? Leave them in the comments.
We hope to see you on Friday!
