A partnership of Vital Voices and the Eleanor Roosevelt Project, the global summit will convene world-renowned women and human rights organizations to mentor women who have shown promise, focusing on three topics: access to adequate food and shelter, access to education and full political participation, and the eradication of human trafficking and other forms of violence against women.

Project Director and Editor of the Eleanor Roosevelt Project Allida Black introduces The Courage to Lead: A Global Summit for Women Leaders in a short video, explaining the significance of the summit as the international community commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 125th birthday of Eleanor Roosevelt.
