Teresa Gonzales

Teresa is a Program Coordinator for the Leadership and Social Impact team at Vital Voices Global Partnership. In this role, she assists with the implementation of the VV Engage Fellowship, and provides programmatic and logistical support for VV Engage alumni programming.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, Teresa earned a Master’s degree in International Development from The George Washington University, specializing in gender development and humanitarian assistance. During her graduate studies, she worked as a research consultant with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), where she examined the gender responsiveness of anticipatory action programming in Nepal and Nigeria. Her research contributed to policy recommendations that were later published in the Journal of Rural Studies. Prior to graduate school, Teresa served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolnisi, Georgia until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also held positions with the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the U.S. Department of Justice.
