Te’a is the Program Assistant for the Leadership and Social Impact team at Vital Voices. She provides programmatic and logistical support for the Vital Voices Global Fellowship and Vital Voices Leadership Journey to enhance the skills of our VV network leaders.
Prior to Vital Voices, Te’a completed her master’s degree in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals in Spain. As a Tulsa native and fierce advocate for racial and gender equity, Te’a has remained committed to community empowerment by amplifying the experiences of black and brown women throughout her engagement within the nonprofit and grassroots sector. Her global experiences and human rights background have enhanced her commitment to justice and representation at a systematic level, as well as her NGO work with immigrants and refugees. Te’a is eager to utilize her background to build equitable systems that engage more women of color within leadership spaces.
