Elizabeth Buchanan

Elizabeth Buchanan is an entrepreneur and Chief Commercial Officer of Rokt, the ecommerce technology company she helped found in 2012. She has led Rokt’s commercial growth from an Australian startup to a global business valued at USD $3.5 billion, working with companies including Live Nation/Ticketmaster, Uber, Macy’s and PayPal.

Her career in technology and marketing spans three decades. She started in the early days of Yahoo! and in her twenties co-founded The White Agency, which became one of Australia’s leading digital agencies and earned her a place on BRW’s Top 50 Female Entrepreneurs list. She later sold it to what is now WPP, and stepped away from Rokt for a time to serve as President of Global Transformation at Omnicom. She was also a non-executive director of S4Capital, the London-listed digital advertising and technology company.

Elizabeth has served on the Vital Voices board since 2017. What she cares about most is access: to opportunity, to education, to mentors and now to AI. The women she meets through Vital Voices inspire her every time, and she considers supporting them a great privilege.

Her additional recognition includes WWD’s 25 Most Inspirational Women and Fast Company’s executive AI power users. She is an Irish America Business 100 honoree and received an Outstanding Mother Award in 2023. Elizabeth is a proud mum and stepmum of five amazing children, four of whom have already flown the nest.
