Anan Manzan is the Senior Coordinator, Sub Saharan Africa for the Global Network & Regional Engagement team at Vital Voices. She primarily focuses on supporting the Voices Against Violence Urgent Assistance Fund to gender-based violence cases in Africa as well as regional and linguistic knowledge.

Anan’s love for human rights advocacy and women’s empowerment came from her undergrad minor in Women Studies. She completed her Master in International Relations with a concentration in development and public health at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Prior to joining Vital Voices, she worked for L’Association Ivoirienne pour le Bien-Etre Familial (AIBEF) in West Africa, Côte d’Ivoire. She managed various programs geared around women’s health and the eradication of violence against women and girls through community based outreach programs. She also worked for the Orphelinat National de Filles de Grand-Bassam in Côte d’Ivoire where she supported women’s empowerment initiatives. She believes in always standing up for those in need and speaking up for the needs of others. Anan is fluent in French, Dioula and Apollo (her native language) and is currently learning Japanese and Italian.
