Amira Yahyaoui

Human Rights Activist and Entrepreneur, Amira Yahyaoui is the Founder and CEO of Mos, a San Francisco based start-up whose mission is to tear down all financial barriers to opportunity. In the short 4 years of leading Mos.com, the company has helped over 200,000 students pay for college without taking on debt and launched a banking solution for students. 

Prior to her entrepreneurial career, Amira took the world of activism by storm in her home country of Tunisia beginning at the age of 17. As an activist, Amira advocated for human rights and has since become recognized as one of the faces of the Arab Spring. After the Tunisian revolution, Amira founded Al Bawsala, a multi-award winning NGO in Tunisia that fights for government transparency and accountability.

Amira has been awarded many awards, among them being the Conflict Prevention Prize by French President Chirac, The Norwegian Human Rights Award, as well as the 2012 and 2016 Vital Voices award. In 2016, Amira was selected as the co-chair of the Davos World Economic Forum for the 4th Industrial Revolution and is a Young Global Leader by the W.E.F. and was previously a Yale World Fellow. In the past years Amira has been ranked as one of the most influential Arab and African women by several rankings across the continent.
