Allan Freedman

Allan Freedman, Vice President for Crisis Response, leads Vital Voices’ Crisis Response Team supporting and empowering women leaders in the world’s most difficult places. The Crisis Response Team works to transform the essential role of women leaders in crisis and conflict while supporting their safety, security and well-being.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, Allan served as senior leader in humanitarian and emergency response, with field postings in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. He has worked as country director, regional director, and emergency director leading refugee and emergency response operations. Most recently, he served as an emergency management consultant, including assisting the State of California’s Refugee Response Bureau’s support to Afghan and Ukrainian arrivals.
