Survivors of intergenerational trafficking know all too well that regular employment is extremely difficult to find due to rampant social stigma.
Past Global Leadership Award Honoree, Priti Patkar, is changing that.
Through Prerana, Priti aims to end intergenerational prostitution by providing education and a safe place for the children of survivors of trafficking to live in India. Priti is proud to share that recently, a young woman she has been working with through Prerana was offered employment at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). We are so proud of the partnership Priti has made with TCS to encourage employment of such survivors. TCS is a highly prestigious company in India and has launched a job readiness and employability skills training for 30 young women in the Prerana network. We are honored to work with Priti and her organization to make connections that help take her vision to scale.
