In 2011, Kah Walla was the first woman to run for President of Cameroon,  as the president of the Cameroon People’s Party (CPP) and is one of Cameroon’s most important political figures.

As an activist, Kah Walla focuses on empowering grassroots groups notably women and youth. She helped create Stand Up For Cameroon, a citizen movement which is at the forefront of fighting for a political transition in Cameroon’s 40-year autocracy.
