Emilie Palamy Pradichit
International Human Rights Lawyer from Laos
Emilie Palamy Pradichit is a woman human rights defender, intersectional feminist and an international human rights lawyer. Born into a refugee family from Laos, she founded the Manushya Foundation in 2017, working at the intersection of digital rights, climate justice, protection of defenders, transnational repression, and access to justice. Through her Foundation, she reinforces the power of women and youth advocating for democracy, social justice and equality, while also defending indigenous, forest dependent, LGBTIQ+ and marginalized communities across Southeast Asia. In recognition of her impactful work, Emilie was honored with the “Leader by Head and Heart Award” in 2022 by the Asian Network and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia. Pradichit holds degrees in Public International Law and a Postgraduate Law Degree in International Administration and Human Rights, both from the Sorbonne Law School, at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
