Member of Parliament, Romania
Oana is a Member of the Romanian Parliament and serves on the Gender Equality Committee. She is a World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader and an ambassador for the international Girl2Leader Campaign run by the Women Political Leaders Forum.
Oana is an advocate for women’s rights, children’s rights and social justice globally. As a progressive and an independent MP in the General Assembly, she has proposed five bills that have passed successfully including a street harassment law, equal access to education and healthcare for children without IDs, providing family-based homes for children that are in the protective system until the age of seven, and the first Sex Offenders Registry in Romania. Oana’s vision is to empower every stakeholder to play their part in ensuring social justice and invest strategically in building a more equitable world. Her motto: Be who you are, love who you are!
