Maria Rapisarda

Program Coordinator, Organization Redesign & Leadership Model, People Operations & Programming

Maria divides her time as Program Coordinator, between the People Operations and the Programming teams. She supports human resources, organization redesign efforts, and recruitment functions at Vital Voices. In addition, she provides coordination to the Vital Voices Virtual Leadership Workshop to amplify women leading change around the world.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, Maria worked as a Research Associate analyzing various disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration policies in post-civil war countries. She also has experience supporting various non-profits including the Community Resource Center in Denver, CO and the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition in Nashville, TN. Maria graduated with an MA in International Studies and a concentration in Policy Analysis from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, and a BA in International Affairs and History from Butler University in Indianapolis. Although originally from Nashville (and happy to recommend the best places for Nashville Hot Chicken), she is always ready to talk about how much she misses Colorado hiking, Aung’s Bangkok Café in Denver, and wearing her Chacos to formal events out West.
