Lina AbiRafeh is a global women’s rights activist and the Executive Director of the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University. She spent 20 years in humanitarian contexts working to end violence against women. Lina speaks and publishes frequently, covering a range of issues such as bodily integrity, empowering women’s groups, women’s leadership, and the need for a feminist response to the pandemic and its impact on women. Her book “Gender and International Aid in Afghanistan” is based on her doctoral research from the London School of Economics. Lina was listed in the Gender Equality Top 100 worldwide in 2018 and 2019.
