Vital Voices receives "Passion Award" from INNOVEST Middle East

On March 8th, International Women’s Day, INNOVEST Middle East awarded Vital Voices the annual Passion Award for their work with women entrepreneurs through the Vital Voices (VV) GROW Fellowship. Now in its fourth year, the VV GROW Fellowship is a highly competitive one-year accelerator program for women owners of small- and medium-sized businesses. The program includes customized business skills training, technical assistance, leadership development, and access to networks to grow their business and increase their leadership impact. Through global and regional online and in-person interventions, fellows focus on strategy and long-term business value paired with action-oriented plans. They amplify their role as leaders in their businesses and their communities to ultimately create jobs, stimulate long-term economic growth and produce wider social benefits.

The INNOVEST Passion Award is based on a belief that “given all the problems our world faces, in teaching, technology, health care, or finance, we need many more change makers. Progress against these problems will be intolerably slow if only 3% to 5% of world’s population thinks they can solve them”. Launched in 2015, the INNOVEST Passion Annual Award “celebrates one individual or organization that has succeeded in rolling a non-profit initiative or project that aims to give back to society or extend support to community challenges”. Alvin Allgood, Chief Operations Officer and Malini Patel, Vice President of Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, were honored to receive this award on behalf of Vital Voices from Bassam Falah, Founder and Managing Director of INNOVEST Middle East.
