Today is International Day of The Girl and here at Vital Voices, we honor the role young girls play in building and becoming women leaders all around the world. We know that over the past year so many rights and opportunities have been lost and certainly that is true when we look to Afghanistan.

This day, Vital Voices CEO Alyse Nelson is joined by two women leaders who fled Afghanistan, Marjan Mohammadi and Hooria Faizi Sardarzada. Both women, who have been advocates for womens rights and girls rights over the course of their careers join Alyse Nelson for an important conversation on whats next for girls and women’s rights in Afghanistan.

Your support is necessary in the fight for the freedoms of Afghan women and girls.

Join us in showing your commitment to raising up the voices of Afghan women’s rights activists who are under imminent threat, and urge the Biden administration to honor its commitment to gender equality by acting swiftly to support women who are trapped in a dire crisis.
