The 2023 VV Engage fellows comprised of a group of women political leaders from across the world, met in Nairobi for a gathering to support the Vital Voices mission of using our collective action to invest in, connect with, and amplify the voices of women leaders globally.
During our Kenya convening, the VV Engage fellows visited Nairobi National Park where they saw firsthand the critical link between biodiversity and environmental conservation. They also explored the Vital Voices Leadership Journey with our President and CEO Alyse Nelson.
In addition, Vital Voices partnered with the University of Nairobi’s African Women’s Studies Center for a panel discussion on women using their power to empower.
Moderated by Alyse, the panel focused on the importance of inclusive policy-making and peace-building.
