Five women entrepreneurs advancing the Sustainable Development Goals will convene in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland, June 14–20, 2026, for the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge.
From Cameroon to Chile, Lebanon to Papua New Guinea, and Canada, five extraordinary women entrepreneurs are proving that local innovation can drive global change.
Vital Voices is proud to celebrate the 2026 WE Empower UN SDG Challenge Awardees — visionary leaders advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through bold, community-driven solutions that are transforming lives around the world.
Launched at the United Nations General Assembly in 2018 by the UN Secretary-General, the President of the World Bank, and the Council of Women World Leaders, the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge recognizes women entrepreneurs who are building more sustainable, equitable, and resilient futures. Each year, awardees receive global visibility, leadership development opportunities, and access to a powerful international network designed to accelerate their impact.
This year’s awardees will convene at the Villars Symposium in Switzerland from June 14–20, 2026, joining global leaders, systems thinkers, and more than 140 Villars Fellows for a week of collaboration, training, and high-level engagement with organizations including the United Nations and the World Economic Forum.
These women are not only leading innovative enterprises — they are creating ripple effects across entire communities.
