Miswaleh Zingizi

Miswaleh is a communication practitioner in Kenya with 18 years of experience in journalism and public relations. Passionate about empowering her community, Miswaleh started Kaya Nuts, a social enterprise that does value addition for cashew nuts. Kaya Nuts’ business model entails buying raw cashew nuts from women groups in her community and providing them with market and relevant knowledge regarding business and the sector at large. She is also the founder of a recently created women networking platform “Sisters in Business.” Miswaleh is an alumnus of The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs that began in Kenya last year. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communications and public relations from Moi University, among other certificates.

Miswaleh was selected to be part of the 2020 FORTUNE-U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Program.
