Dorcas Amakobe

Dorcas is serving as the executive director of Moving The Goalposts (MTG). For the past nine years she has worked in the same organization in various capacities, as a program manager and community liaison coordinator. She holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies, Community Development from Pwani University. She is an alumni of the Feminist Leadership, Movement Building and Rights Institute East Africa.

Dorcas has worked extensively with communities in rural Africa to implement reproductive health initiatives for adolescent girls and programs for disabled peoples and women’ s rights. Her contributions in designing community engagement and child safeguarding strategies have earned Moving The Goalposts recognition and global awards.
