Cynthia is the Legal and Corporate Affairs Manager for the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe. A lawyer by profession, Cynthia has vast experience in the corporate governance field and 10 years of experience as a legal advisor to the Government of Zimbabwe, private sector, and development sector, including working under the United Nations. In 2010, Cynthia was nominated in the Manager of the Year junior category for her outstanding role in setting up the Quality Corporate Governance Centre (QCGC). Officially launched in 2014, the QCGC was responsible for drafting the National Corporate Governance Code for Zimbabwe. Cynthia sits on several boards and steering committees and is currently a Trustee of Professional Women, Women Executives & Business Women’s Forum.

Cynthia holds a bachelor’ s degree in commerce from Rhodes University in South Africa (partial fulfillment), an honors degree in Law from the University of Zimbabwe, and a master’ s degree in law from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. She is currently studying for a master’ s degree in business administration at the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute.
