Colleen Makhubele

Colleen is one of the founding members and Chief Executive Officer of Mzumbe Group of Companies. Before Mzumbe Group, she served as Chief Operations Officer at SMMT Online, where she implemented the information technology infrastructure library and oversaw information and communications technology (ICT) operations. Colleen has led various project management offices in different industries in both the private and public sectors, including ICT, energy, rail, government programs, and school digitization programs.

Colleen holds an honors degree in information technology from the Multimedia University in Malaysia and is a certified Prince2 practitioner. She has a diploma in business administration and certificate in project management from UNISA. She holds a master’ s degree in business administration from Milpark Business College and has begun studying towards a PhD in management of technology and innovation at the Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management focused on “Reengineering the Project Management Methodology in Rolling Out Public Broadband Infrastructure in Developing Countries”.
