Chaitali Das

Chaitali, Managing Trustee of Rakshak Foundation Kolkata and Charter President of Rotary Club of Calcutta Millenium, is an eminent social worker and entrepreneur who has made it her mission to bring about positive change in society. As the Managing Trustee of Rakshak Foundation Kolkata, she has earned accolades for her endeavors in supporting women, literacy for all, care for the elderly, the diseased, and the disabled. Chaitali received the 2016 Udaan Empowering Women Award for her significant contribution in skill development for the underprivileged, especially women. Her efforts and initiatives for skill development of jail inmates at various correctional homes across the city have been highly appreciated.

Chaitali has been a part of various global forums including: the Women Economic Forum, Istanbul Summit 2016, the International Criminal Court’ s Jaagruti, the United Nation’ s International Seminar on Clean Water and Sanitation, and University Grants Commission’ s National Seminar on Human Trafficking.

Apart from her social work engagements, Chaitali is the Director of Rakshak Subhidha Private Limited and a partner in Rakshak Realty. She has been a member of the Standing Committee at Merchant Chamber of Commerce. She is also the Chairperson, Standing Committee, Skill Development & Empowerment, MLF, MCC, and Board Member at Indo Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata; Committee Member at Bengal Chamber of Commerce; Member at Indian Chamber of Commerce; Member at FICCI FLO; Member at Lions International Club; Member at Calcutta Ladies Golf Club; and State Bureau Chief of Great Asia Magazine.

Qualified in law, Chaitali has worked in various capacities in corporate giants like Larsen & Toubro. Certified in human resource management from the University of Cambridge she wears many hats with panache.
