Busi Nxumalo

Busi is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is the Founder and Managing Director of GenEnergy, a renewable energy technologies company. She has over 13 years of experience in the energy industry, mostly as a Project Finance Specialist. Because of her vast experience in renewable energy and sectors related to climate change, Busi was appointed as a business mentor for innovative entrepreneurs at the Innovation Hub in South Africa.

Busi is passionate about the development and economic emancipation of women. To this end, she is creating a training institution with an established industry player in the solar energy space which will actively target young women and expose them to this sector. On weekends, Busi volunteers at the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, where she has served as a Senior Counsellor since 2013.
