Zulfiya Urunova is the Co-Founder and CEO of Take Care Mom, a digital health company tackling postpartum depression in Central Asia, where it affects over 60% of mothers yet no screening existed in local languages. The platform’s AI-powered, culturally adapted screening in four languages reaches 5 million women across 83 countries, and its health workers have screened 6,000 mothers in Kazakhstan’s government clinics.
Before founding Take Care Mom, Urunova managed customer operations at Microsoft. Under her leadership, Take Care Mom won the UNFPA Equalizer Challenge 2025, a global competition by the UN Population Fund.
“As a visionary leader I turn one open door into thousands: every opportunity I access becomes a system I teach, so a girl from Tajikistan never has to be an exception.”
