Yireth Villaverde

Yireth Villaverde is a proud Latina woman, an activist in progress, and an insatiable learner who loves to question why things are the way they are—and how they can be made better. She is a creative with a passion for the arts, as well as a deeply aware person of the social challenges around her. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, having completed three years at UDLAP in Mexico and one year at North Carolina State University. Currently, she works as a Communications Associate for the non-profit organization Village Capital, where she amplifies their mission through social media and public relations. On a personal note, Yireth is part of the leadership team of Despierta Jóvenes, a social impact group she co-founded to connect young people with organizations driving change. They collaborate directly with these organizations by developing and implementing projects together, providing extra support to help them achieve their social impact goals. Her greatest passion is raising awareness and providing tools to prevent child abuse and human trafficking, particularly in Latin America, where culture plays a pivotal role. She believes in the impact of small actions and the ripple effect they can create, all driving meaningful change.

Yireth Villaverde es una orgullosa mujer latina, una activista en formación y una aprendiz incansable a la que le encanta preguntarse por qué las cosas son como son y cómo podrían mejorarse. Es una persona creativa apasionada por el arte con una profunda conciencia de los retos sociales que la rodean. Es licenciada en Comercio Internacional, habiendo cursado tres años en la Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), en México, y un año en la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte. Actualmente trabaja como asociada de comunicación para la organización sin fines de lucro Village Capital, donde amplifica su misión a través de las redes sociales y las relaciones públicas. En el ámbito personal, Yireth forma parte del equipo directivo de Despierta Jóvenes, un grupo de impacto social que cofundó para conectar a la juventud con organizaciones que impulsan el cambio. A través de esta iniciativa, colaboran directamente con dichas organizaciones desarrollando e implementando proyectos en conjunto, brindándoles apoyo adicional para ayudarles a alcanzar sus objetivos de impacto social. Su mayor pasión es generar conciencia y ofrecer herramientas para prevenir el maltrato infantil y la trata de personas, especialmente en América Latina, donde la cultura desempeña un papel fundamental. Cree en el poder de las pequeñas acciones y en el efecto multiplicador que pueden tener para impulsar un cambio significativo.
