Yasmin is an athlete turned engineer turned entrepreneur. She spent two decades as a professional basketball player in the Egyptian first division league and National team, earning 38 medals along her journey.

Yasmin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Systems and Bio-Medical Engineering from Cairo University and graduated with high honors. She then joined the Telecom giant Alcatel-Lucent for three years, initially as a Field Network Engineer in Malaysia and the Dominican Republic, then later as a Middle East and Africa Network Design Engineer.

In 2010, Yasmin founded Educate Me, an organization that is touching the lives of thousands of people every day through an innovative educational model that enhances the quality of pre-university education. In 2011, Yasmin ended her corporate sector role to focus solely on Educate Me as its full-time Executive Director. Realizing that education and entrepreneurship are her passions, Yasmin pursued her Master’s degree in International Education Management at the University of Education in PH-Ludwigsburg, Germany. Thanks in part to her work with Educate Me, Yasmin has received several awards and fellowships recognizing her entrepreneurial efforts. She has been also featured in national and international media, and her start-up story with Educate Me has been published in Finding Your Element by Sir Ken Robinson.
