Winnie Najjuma

Winnie Najjuma is a passionate social entrepreneur. She is the Founder and Team Lead of Ccupa Creations, a Ugandan enterprise that recycles glass waste into household products. The company’s mission is to produce high-quality recycled products and rescue over 10 million glass bottles from overflowing landfills.

Ccupa Creations has so far recycled over 30,000 tonnes of glass waste, reducing contamination and overflowing landfills, contributing to a cleaner environment by diverting solid waste away from animals and damaging soil properties that is good for farming. This aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action. The business not only prevents environmental pollution but also promotes responsible waste management and reduces Uganda’s reliance on imported glassware and household products, contributing to a sustainable future and circular economy.

Winnie’s leadership extends beyond Ccupa Creations. She is passionate about skilling and has worked with with various organizations over the years to provide hands-on skills to women and youth in different communities to supplement their incomes and improve their living conditions. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship.
