Vivian Ibrahim is the Founder and Convener of the Chess in IDP Camps initiative in Adamawa State, northeastern Nigeria. Through her QueenVee Chess Academy in Yola, she uses chess as a powerful tool to provide education, critical thinking skills, emotional resilience, and hope to children living in internally displaced persons camps. Her mission is to transform the lives of displaced children, especially girls, by equipping them with life skills that foster reintegration into formal education and brighter futures.

Ibrahim has built this initiative from the ground up while running a sustainable chess academy that uses fees from paying students to fund free programs in IDP camps. She has successfully partnered with local government officials, the Nigerian Chess Federation, international organizations like The Gift of Chess, and private sector supporters. Her hands on leadership has enabled many children to compete in tournaments and return to school.
