Trushita Kadam is a dedicated Public Policy Analyst and Research Associate at the All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG), where she plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainable urban governance and waste management practices. AIILSG, a prominent institution with over 93 years of history, empowers local self-governments in India through capacity building, research, and policy formulation, aligning with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Passionate about sustainable governance and social equity, Trushita believes in the power of inclusive governance to create more resilient and equitable communities. Her work involves addressing urban governance challenges with a holistic and innovative approach, aiming to create a future where urban environments are not only livable but also thrive in harmony with nature. She has made significant contributions to policy research in waste management and climate action initiatives. Trushita is a double graduate with a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Bristol, England, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She has further expanded her expertise through the London School of Economics Summer School, specializing in Development in the International Political Economy, and holds a professional certificate from IIT-B in Sustainable Urban Systems. Committed to fostering inclusive and sustainable communities, Trushita is driven by a mission to bridge the gap between policy and practice.
