Ms. Tripti B G is the COO at Tamahar Trust, (a NGO), a Center for children with Developmental Disabilities at Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. She has been part of Tamahar Trust since its inception for the past 15 years She is responsible for monitoring the programs for children, training parents and staff. She has been instrumental in stabilizing the organization and in its growth. Tamahar works with children of all ages from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, offering holistic developmental interventions. These include Early Intervention, Special Education, Auxiliary Therapies, Family Programs, and Recreation. Family Programs offer Mental Health Services through counselling, support groups for parents, siblings and also Skill Development Program for the unpaid caregivers. The Vision of Tamahar Trust is “Prevention & Alleviation of developmental disability in children with brain damage”. The Mission is “To enable children with brain damage and their families to live a happy, healthy and dignified life in an inclusive society through rehabilitation services, capacity building , community engagement and advocacy”. The impact has been on 500+ families. The relevant SDG goals are : No.4 : Quality Education No.8 : Decent Work and Economic Growth No.10 : Reduced Inequalities All programs Tripti has risen from being an interventionist to a Program Manager to the COO. Her passion and commitment have helped her grow. Tripti’s belief is that every individual has something to offer. She is happy when a struggling child/family finds a footing. Tripti has a postgraduate degree in Psychology, 2 diplomas in Specific Learning Disability and autism.
