Tahirah Abdul-Qadir is the Founder of FLAG Empowerment LLC, an organization dedicated to advancing women’s physical, mental, and emotional health. FLAG—short for “Fight Like a Girl”—reclaims a phrase often viewed negatively and transforms it into a statement of power. Through structured programs and community events, FLAG equips girls and women with the confidence, resilience, and tools to thrive.

An award-winning social justice advocate and international martial-arts champion with 16+ years of experience, Abdul-Qadir often launches initiatives that highlight female athletes’ voices and expand opportunities for girls in sports. She has served as a Youth Advisor for Girl Up USA and emceed their 2024 Leadership Summit. In 2023, she was selected as part of PepsiCo’s Cracker Jill campaign, an initiative with the Women’s Sports Foundation celebrating and elevating women in sports. Currently, she also advocates for mental health as a Rare Impact Ambassador with Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand.
