Sruthi Dharuman

Sruthi currently serves as Principal with Yuwa, India. Yuwa is an internationally acclaimed non-profit organisation that enables girls in rural Jharkhand, India to take their futures into their own hands. By bringing vulnerable girls out of isolation and into a positive team environment, Yuwa combats child marriage, gender-related violence, and human trafficking through its education and football program. Sruthi’s deep belief in education as a means of social change motivated her to apply to the Teach For India(TFI) Fellowship.Post her Fellowship, she continued to build leadership skills in students by joining the Kids Education Revolution (KER), a global platform that aims to reimagine education by advocating for the voice, partnership and agency of students amongst educators, educational leaders, and the government body. She has spent the last 5 years dedicated to fostering and empowering leadership and life skills with ~2000 students from across India.
