Selen Ucak is developing a new initiative aimed at promoting visibility, inclusion, and opportunities for international impact entrepreneurs. As a social impact professional working at the nexus of the private sector and international development, Ucak has extensive experience leading a global community of entrepreneurs at the Refugee Investment Network (RIN), as well as consulting on various impact investing projects. Prior to RIN, Ucak led SME growth and job creation in Turkey and Jordan through her work at Building Markets. She is the lead researcher and author of several publications on refugee entrepreneurship and inclusive economies. Ucak’s background also encompasses nonprofit leadership, social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and economics research. She holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School as the inaugural Tashman Fellow and a B.A. in Economics from Colorado College.
