Samah Bushra Ahmed

Samah Bushra Ahmed is the founder and CEO of Refugee Access, a non-profit organization in UK, and its sister organization, Access, in Sudan. Samah is a social worker and specializes in forced migration, homelessness, mental health, children, and social policy. She has involved in politics since secondary school in Sudan and served in number of public social and political positions at university. She was a member of the Green Party of England and Wales.

Samah has worked in Sudan, Greece, and the UK. She is Amnesty International Speaker educating young people in UK about human rights. She is mentoring young women in Sudan at AlSudaniya Mentoring. She was an educator at African Leadership Academy in South Africa. Samah serves as elected head of family affairs and capacity building for the Sudanese Community and Information Centre in London. She was a speaker at the House of Lords Chamber Debate 2016.

Samah graduated with BSc. Honours in Political Science from University of Khartoum and MSc. Development Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). She is currently studying social policy at London School of Economics and Political science (LSE). She is an alumna of Chevening Scholarship for global leaders.
