Focus Areas

WeCan Africa Development, founded by Murtala, empowers youth and women across Africa by providing leadership training, digital skills, and economic opportunities. The organization has supported over 1,000 young people and 400 women traders, fostering sustainable development through education and entrepreneurship.

Murtala has secured startup support for 30 entrepreneurs, reopening 30 businesses and establishing 20 new ones in Nigeria. She is currently leading the launch of a global skills and professional networking program for African students and graduates. Her leadership is informed by extensive research on skills development and graduate employment in Nigeria.
