Focus Areas

Sabah Yaqoob is a Training and Development Advisor with GIZ Pakistan on the project Promoting Employment by Strengthening the Role of Women in Textile and Fashion Industries of Pakistan (WE). She leads the Women Mentorship and Women Leadership Programmes to enhance women’s participation and advancement in the textile sector. In the Mentorship Programme, she successfully piloted the first phase by engaging around ten mentor–mentee pairs per city, resulting in success stories of women’s profile building, improved communication skills, and cases of promotion. In the next phase, she aims to streamline engagement through real-time tracking of development plans and extend opportunities to women actively seeking jobs by linking them with senior leaders.

Previously, she worked with the GIZ TextILES I project, where she collaborated with partner industries on evaluating product and process innovation activities and supported companies in showcasing their marketing and communication capacities, particularly during the Texworld Exhibition.
