Rufsana Begum serves as the Program Manager and Regional Lead at Voyage Educare Foundation, where she leads transformative educational initiatives. In her role, she drives systemic change by implementing data-driven strategies and fostering collaborative environments that enhance educational outcomes. Her work focuses on elevating parental engagement, refining classroom practices, and developing leadership within schools to create sustainable progress in education. Voyage Educare Foundation is committed to advancing education in underserved communities by empowering educators and improving student achievement, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Rufsana’s dedication to education is deeply rooted in her journey as a first-generation learner from an underprivileged village in Assam. As the first girl from her community in Nagaland to achieve a state rank—an accomplishment recognized by the Governor—she has become a symbol of inspiration. Her commitment to education has earned her recognition from various organizations and institutions across India. Additionally, she was shortlisted for the Transformational Impact Journey during her fellowship with Teach For India. Driven by a passion to break barriers, Rufsana is committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to high-quality education. Her life’s work is guided by the belief that education is the most powerful tool for creating lasting change and empowering future generations.
