Ruby Igwe is the Country General Manager for ALX Nigeria, a pan-African career accelerator on a mission to empower young people with in-demand tech, entrepreneurship and leadership skills. In her role, she leads national strategy and operations, overseeing learning experiences for well over 200,000 learners and 120,000 alumni based in every state in Nigeria while managing a large team, multi-stakeholder public and private partnerships and engagement across the country.

Ruby’s work at ALX contributes meaningfully to several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Under her leadership, ALX Nigeria has expanded access to transformative learning programs for underserved communities, with over 45% of the ALX community being women.

She has held executive positions in operations, law, and media, including serving as Head of Operations at a media group and as a Leadership Development Specialist at the African Leadership Group. Ruby also lectures in law, co-founded a digital archiving nonprofit, and is an award-winning producer and storyteller.

Ruby is driven by a deep commitment to equity, legacy-building, and enabling others to thrive through access to opportunity, tools, and knowledge. She believes in using systems thinking, culture, and storytelling to solve complex problems in sustainable ways.

She holds an LLB from the University of Kent and is a Barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Ruby is also a certified leader in management and entrepreneurship through programs from Lagos Business School and AMI.
