Raquel Prado has seen firsthand the challenges faced by people forced to flee their homes due to environmental disasters and other factors beyond their control. This inspired her to launch MigraClima, an educational platform that raises awareness about climate change, its impact on forced displacement and migration, and the gendered aspects of these issues. Prado is committed to creating solutions that are equitable, sustainable, and effective in order to inspire people to take action and make a positive impact on the planet.
Prado holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Federal Fluminense University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
“As a visionary leader, I want to contribute towards the creation of a sustainable and equitable society, where future generations can thrive. By advocating for refugees and immigrants, particularly women who are disproportionately affected, I hope to sow the seeds for a brighter tomorrow and lead the way towards a better world.”
