Raquel Kasham Daniel is a social entrepreneur, educator, and author committed to transforming the lives of children and girls in underserved, rural and displaced communities in Nigeria. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Beyond the Classroom Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children and girls return to school, gain life skills, and complete their education.
For over a decade, Daniel has designed and led impactful education, health, and empowerment projects that have reached thousands of young people in rural, underserved, and displaced communities. Her work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 5. She is the creator of the ReIGNITE Project, which equips out-of-school girls who have faced hardship with skills and mentorship to reintegrate into the classroom, and the HER Safe Space Girls’ Club, a program for girls aged 11–16 that fosters confidence, knowledge, and leadership skills.
An award-winning innovator, Daniel has developed six educational board games, two of which have won national awards and are used in schools across Nigeria to promote learning and life skills. She has been recognized locally and internationally for her innovative approaches to girls’ education and empowerment. She also hosts The Beyond Her Odds Show on radio, amplifying the voices and stories of women who have overcome significant odds.
