Ramya Dronamraju is a public health professional who is dedicated to improving health outcomes for girls and women around the world. She holds a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in maternal and child health. Additionally, Ramya is an Analyst on the Maternal and Child Health team at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, where she works on projects related to substance use, maternal health, postpartum depression, and health disparities. Ramya is currently developing a company that would bring mental health access to teenage and college-aged women through a therapy app. This app will focus on educating women about healthy relationships and reducing the incidence of intimate partner violence. A millennial herself, Ramya is passionate about providing young women with the resources they need to empower themselves in a relationship. Ramya was one of twenty winners of the 2019 GRL PWR Project sponsored by Victoria’s Secret Pink for her app proposal. This was the first step in the initiation of Ramya’s app. Although it is in its earliest stages, Ramya looks forward to building and expanding this organization into a safe space for anyone who may need it.
