Founder and CEO, Chargebyte Africa

Ochieng Quinter is the CEO and the Founder of Chargebyte Africa, two transformative tech ventures revolutionizing connectivity and power accessibility across the continent. At Charge24, Quinter leads the strategy and expansion of a power bank rental and digital advertising company that has grown rapidly across Kenya, with machines in malls, universities, transport hubs, and fitness centers. The platform enables people to rent portable power while providing brands with high-visibility advertising.
Chargebyte Africa, her latest venture based in South Africa, builds AI-powered solutions that help businesses optimize product reach, track user engagement, and generate real-time data. It also focuses on providing intelligent, solar-powered energy machines to off-grid communities, aligning with several UN Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Quinter was named among the 100 Most Influential Pan-African Youth Leaders 2025 and is a FortyUnder40 Africa 2024 honoree. After successfully fundraising to scale across Rwanda and South Africa, she continues to champion innovation and inclusion in tech.
Driven by a personal mission to bridge the digital divide and empower underserved communities, Quinter’s work is shaped by her rural upbringing in Kisumu, Kenya. She holds a degree in Media and Production from the University of Nairobi & Micro MBA in Commerce from Strathmore University and is recognized for her leadership in entrepreneurship, innovation, and women’s empowerment.
