Phumzile Khoza is the Founder and CEO of Lathitha Biodiesel, a women-led clean energy company transforming waste cooking oil into sustainable biodiesel. Inspired by the belief that environmental challenges can become economic opportunities, she is building circular economy solutions that reduce carbon emissions, create green jobs, and empower communities across South Africa and beyond.

An entrepreneur since the age of 13, Phumzile has dedicated her career to creating businesses that deliver both social and environmental impact. Her leadership has earned international recognition, including winning the BRICS Women’s Startups Contest (Ecology category), while participating in programmes such as GIBS, Orange Corners, the CSIR Capacity Building Programme, and the Graça Machel Trust’s Women Creating Wealth initiative. She is committed to proving that purpose-driven innovation can transform lives, strengthen communities, and shape a more sustainable future.
