Penninah Nabirye is a Fundraising and Partnership Lead at 40 Days Over 40 Smiles Foundation (4040), a volunteer-based non-profit organisation founded in 2012 in Kampala, Uganda, to improve access to quality education for underprivileged children in underserved communities through providing literacy and educational resources. 4040’s mission is, “Inspiring Ugandans to engage in inclusive, philanthropic activities towards improving the quality of learning for underprivileged children and communities”.
Nabirye joined 4040 in 2022 after her undergraduate studies at Kyambogo University. Other leadership roles taken on include: Vice President, Land Economics Chapter at Association of Student Surveyors, Kyambogo (ASSK); Deputy Speaker, ASSK; Class Coordinator, BSc. in Land Economics Cohort 2017/2022.
Beyond her work at 4040, Nabirye envisions contributing to community development through research and sustainable, affordable housing initiatives.
