Focus Areas
Patricia Mejalelaty is Founder and Executive Director of Fundación Leer, Argentina’s leading literacy organization. For over 30 years, she has led efforts that reached millions of children through innovative reading programs, digital platforms, and national campaigns that democratized access to books and promoted literacy as a tool for equity.
As a strategist, Mejalelaty works with governments and businesses to scale social impact and ensure reading becomes a right—not a privilege—for every child. She holds an MBA, is certified in Artificial Intelligence for Business Strategy by MIT Sloan School of Management, and completed leadership programs with the London School of Economics and Harvard University.
“As a visionary leader I believe that a book in a child’s hand is the most powerful tool for building a just and hopeful society. Now I also seek to empower emergent leaders to shape, through public narrative and organizing, the change they are called to create.”
