Ovsanna Babayan

Ovsanna Babayan has over two decades of experience working with international organizations on the issues of migration governance and combatting human trafficking, including 12 years of service at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Armenia office. Ms. Babayan first joined the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) office in Yerevan as a National Programme Officer in 2006. The broad knowledge, project management experience, collaborative approach and personal connections with the national and international migration management and anti-trafficking community that Ms. Babayan brought to her role have significantly contributed to making the OSCE Office in Yerevan one of the top international agencies supporting the country in designing, implementing and monitoring migration governance and anti-trafficking activities.

Ms. Babayan has participated in training events at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, Oslo University, the International Labour Organizaton (ILO) Training Center in Turin, and the Philippines Summer Institute in Manila. She has been successful in obtaining funding from both the European Union and U.S. Department of State for anti-trafficking projects she initiated and developed. Ms. Babayan serves as a consultant to the Trafficked Victims Identification Board chaired by the Armenian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, as well as a member of the recently established Center for Support to Security and Co-operation in Europe. The OSCE office in Yerevan discontinued its activities in September 2017. Ms. Babayan then joined ILO as the Child Labour Project Coordinator.
