Nahomie JB Millien is the founder and CEO of Centre Kaizen, the first consulting firm for gender diversity and women’s empowerment in Haiti. Centre Kaizen provides capacity building, project management, and evaluation, as well as research focused on women’s empowerment. They work mainly on SDG 5, Gender Equality, and SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, but also support the achievement of SDG 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 10, Reduce Inequalities, SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13, Climate Action. Centre Kaizen provides gender equality advisory services and technical support to multilateral, bilateral, government, and non-government organizations and enterprises. Their website is a resource center with many documents on women’s empowerment issues, especially in the workplace. Nahomie has 15 years of experience as a consultant in project management and evaluation in the development sector. She has worked as a gender equality and women’s empowerment specialist for more than six years now. For the last two years, she has been advocating for women in the workplace and for gender-lens investing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, a master’s degree in Project Management, and a second master’s degree in Project Evaluation. She is also a Gender Certified Auditor by the International Labor Organization. She believes in the universal values of competence, excellence, sharing, partnership, equity, and humanity.
